VILLAGE OF BELLWOOD BUILDING DEPARTMENT
COVID-19 RESPONSE INFORMATION SHEET
The Building Department is currently closed to the public.
However the department is still being staffed to assist you in your permitting and inspection needs.
Permits are able to be submitted via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or Fax at 708-547-0829
you may also drop your submittal off in the white drop box near Village Hall or mail your submittal to the Building Department at 3200 Washington Blvd. Bellwood IL 60104.
Please remember to secure all of your documents together when dropping them off and insure each item has the address of the project clearly marked on each page of the submittal.
Additionally, insure we have your contact information via phone and e-mail on your permit application.
As permits are approved you will be notified by phone of the amount of the permit fee. You will be able to make payment by calling the Finance Department at 708-547-3520 and providing a credit card number, address of the project and permit number. You may also drop payment off in the white drop
box. Be sure we can identify what address, project and permit number the payment is for.
At this time our inspectors are performing all scheduled inspections for exterior work and most interior inspections if the property is vacant or if not vacant by having the occupants answer a series of questions provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
