The V.A.C. Provides Qualified Veterans with Immediate Emergency Assistance for:

Transportation (Weekly Bus Cards – CTA/PACE

“One Time Only”
  • Mortgage or Rent
  • Utilities (Electric/Gas/Water)
  • Food (Spouse & Child <18)
  • Burials (Death Certificate, Funeral Invoice, Spouse or POA, Photo ID
  • Records Requests
Please Bring Your:
  • DD214 – Honorable Discharge
  • VA Rating/Award Letter (Document can be obtained at the: VA Regional Office – 2122 W. Taylor)
  • Income Verfication (Current Two Paystubs/Pension/Unemployment/Social Security/GI Bill)
  • Current Illinois Driver License or Photo I.D.

Monday – Friday

8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

(Sign-In window closes at 3:00 p.m.)

(Close for Lunch between 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.)
