Update on Reservoir Project in Bellwood

Excavation of the new reservoir in Bellwood continues at a steady pace. This photo of the east side of the reservoir, looking south, was taken from a drone launched by the public affairs department at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. The sump pit on the left is at the final elevation of the reservoir floor. Starting in November work will proceed west of the railroad tracks.
