Led by Bellwood native and Mayor Andre Harvey’s administration and village trustees, Bellwood continues to lay a solid foundation and prepare for the future through economic development projects, infrastructure improvements, public safety initiatives, and quality services for residents.
The village’s government continues to move forward with public works projects as expected increases in federal and state funding continue to be approved and distributed. The mayor, village clerk and trustees recognize given the economy, there will be a slower pace to economic development projects, as investors, lenders and realtors closely scrutinize development and investment opportunities. However, Bellwood’s steady planning and balanced budgets for the past several years have positioned the village be prepared upticks in the economy.
