Bellwood Business Receives Incentives For Growth From Cook County

March 23, 2017
W-R Industries, 2715 Grant Ave. in Bellwood was one of four of suburban business selected by the Cook County Board’s Bureau of Economic Development to receive tax incentives to retain and create jobs.

The manufacturer, warehouse and distributor of products used for offset printing plans to purchase the 30,000-square-foot property and substantially rehab and occupy it to meet its need to grow. The company will put its former building up for sale. It is estimated that the project will: create one full-time job, retain seven full-time jobs and support 15 construction jobs supported.

Collectively, the incentives for all four businesses should yield creation of an estimated 44 new jobs, retain an estimated 162 jobs and support approximately 45 construction jobs.

"Helping businesses create and retain good-paying jobs is a major focus of our economic development efforts," said Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle. "The companies receiving these incentives have demonstrated their commitment to their communities and our residents, and deserve our assistance in growing their businesses.”
