December 28, 2009
At Bellwood’s Nov. 25 board meeting, Jack Stonebraker, general manager of Best Buy’s Melrose Park store, presented the Village with a $7,000 check to enhance access to technology and computer literacy at the Bellwood Computer Resource Centers. Tonita LeShore, community development director accepted on behalf of the Village. The funding is for one of the centers’ most important programs: the computer education program that brings technology to low-income children and teenagers in grades 1-12. Best Buy’s support will help participants take advantage of the educational and economic tools and opportunities available through computers.
