IDOT holds well attended open house in Hillside on November 18, 2009 to get input on Eisenhower Expy improvements.
On Wednesday November 18th, IDOT held an open house at the Best Western in Hillside to seek input on issues dealing with the possible widening of the Eisenhower Expressway. The event was well attended by residents of several communities along the highway. IDOT had several representatives and specialists there to answer questions. A presentation ran on a continuous loop in an adjacent room to highlight the entire scope of any potential project. Attendees were invited to apply post-it notes to maps in the geographical areas of their concerns.
