Village Government
A large city or small town is only as strong as its foundation, and the foundation in Bellwood -- its Village Government -- is strong and focused even in tough economic times.
Led by Mayor Frank A. Pasquale's energetic administration and committed trustees, Bellwood continues to lay a solid foundation for 2009 and beyond through economic development projects, infrastructure improvements, public safety initiatives, and quality services for residents. The Village's Government will move forward with public works projects when the expected increase in federal and state funding is approved and distributed. The mayor, clerk and trustees recognize given the economy, there will be a slower pace to economic development projects, as investors, lenders and realtors closely scrutinize development and investment opportunities. However, Bellwood's steady planning and balanced budgets have positioned the village to weather the downturn, and be prepared for the eventual uptick in the economy.
Bellwood's government remains committed to providing high-quality, timely and financially responsible services that Bellwood residents and business owners have come to expect.
