Eisenhower Expressway Retail Power Center
This area features the entrance/exit at 25th Avenue and the Eisenhower Expressway. Key development strategies have been proposed to include a mixed use of “Big Box”, medium and smaller retail opportunities at this key regional location for larger scale redevelopment. This project area is expected to have a positive effect on development of the surrounding area beyond the district based upon traffic generated by a large new Power Retail Center at the end of a ramp connected to one of the busiest expressways in the country.
This district also includes an outdated school building which the village hopes to move to a safer access location for students. When the school moves, the area creates more retail space at the location best suited for it.
