This TIF district envisions a “Village Center” for the Village of Bellwood. The area includes the existing village hall, police station and fire station as well as Memorial Park and the accompanying Recreation Facility/Fitness Center. An expansion of recreation facilities with easier access to the Illinois Prairie Path and walkways along Addison Creek are envisioned for this district. Addison Creek is in a district of its own for the purpose of making improvements and mitigating the chance of flooding.
